First Level Reading - 80 pages, A4, full colour.

Drives children smoothly into reading and writing. It is fun, interesting, colourful and very well illustrated.

Reception Reading 2 is divided into 6 units. Topics are "me", "family", "this", "about me", "vowels" and “i do”. Each unit starts with a song. The context focuses connects the letters learnt to formulate words and short sentences which start to introduce sentence structures. It is the start of a reading scheme where new words introduced are written in red for clarification.

First Level Reading will Teach:

• The letters at the beginning, middle and end of the word giving examples of each letter in it's different positions. These examples repeat the vocabulary introduced in Reception 1 where ever appropriate.
• Simple words chosen from the immediate environment of children.
• Letters with vowels
• Using “this” with nouns.
• Understanding and answering questions “what is this?” And “Is this a ..?”
• 6 simple Nursery Rhymes related to the unit's topic
• vocabulary about numbers to ten and my body

" First Level Activities " will help students to:

• Learn to separate the words into the basic alphabet and reconstruct them back into words.
• Practice using “this” with nouns studied.
• Practice the questions “what is this?” And “Is this a ..?” with answers yes and no.
• Practice the alphabets with vowels
