Our Philosophy

Main Contributors

Mrs. Rihab Mohamed
Mrs. Mohamed, Northampton, Sudanese origin, is the author of the books, materials and programme of work of Fun Arabic Learning Course. BSc. Honours in Architectural Engineering, with a postgraduate Diploma in Business computing. Computer Literate, competent in planning and design, with an eye for details and a passion for providing better resources for children who are learning Arabic as a second language or as a mother tongue.

She started teaching Arabic in Northampton 1998. She established and run a weekend Arabic Supplementary School in April 1999. The school is still running successfully to date and caters for community needs in Northamptonshire, as well as teaching children. Since then, she attended many teaching training courses and educational resources exhibitions and conferences.

In February 2000, She began the Fun Arabic learning project, providing continuous input from her experience in running a school, teaching within school and teaching her own children.



Mrs. Zainab Osman
Mrs. Zainab Osman, Liverpool, Sudanese origin, is a qualified teacher with long experience as a full time bio-lingual support teacher in mainstream schools. She offers Arabic classes in main-stream schools and supplementary schools from early learning up to A levels.

Mrs. Osama has a genuine interest in enhancing the Arabic teaching practice in the west, and for providing children with a well planned and structured scheme ,which is fun and interesting as well.

She has been regularly consulted throughout the design and revisions stages of Fun Arabic Learning Course and her experience and enthusiasm has reflected positively on the scheme



Mr. Ahmed Saif
Mr. Ahmed Saif, Liverpool, Yemeni origin, is a specialist in Arabic literature and grammar. He founded and successfully run Alghazali Multi-cultural Organization for 12 years. Serving over 200 students in weekend and after school; his organization offers Arabic classes, sports, summer holyday projects, youth club and ESOL classes. His contribution to the community and children achievement is well recognised by local authorities*. Mr Saif had revised and proofread the scheme and is piloting it in his school.

*Lecturer in HOB University, Liverpool and a member of many educational bodies in the UK



Mr. Musab Hayatli
Mr. Musab Hayatli, Oxford, Palestine origin. is a qualified English/Arabic translator and has carried the final proof-reading of Fun Arabic learning Course. DPhil in General Linguistics, Oxford University, Somerville College. MPhil in Theoretical Linguistics, Oxford University, Somerville College. Diploma in General Linguistics, Damascus.



Mr. Mutasim Alazerig
Mr. Mutasim Alazerig, London. Sudanese origin has revised the Rhymes and changed it in some cases with his positive additions and talented contributions.
BSc Language Studies, Cairo University, Sudan Branch.
MSc Arabic Language Studies, Modern Arabic Poem, Cairo University, Egypt.
Preparing for MSc. Eastern and African Music, London University.


Mr. Adil Al-Mahy
Mr. Adil Al-Mahy, Sudanese origin, is a qualified and talented artist specialist in children illustrations, he had done most of the illustrations for Fun Arabic Learning.



Miss. Samar Al-Sakkaf
Miss. Samar Al-Sakkaf, Northampton, Yemeni origin, studying Business Information Systems , University College Northampton . She has coloured most of the illustrations and done some of the drawings. Miss Al-Sakkaf has been of great help with the development aspects of the project with her advise. She has also designed the fun arabic learning website. (norasnet@yahoo.com)
